What is Menopause?

Menopause is when a woman’s ovaries stop producing eggs, and the menstrual period stops. It usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55.

Menopause causes your body to stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone, and this can result in a range of symptoms, as well as your periods becoming shorter, less frequent, and eventually stopping altogether.

Symptoms of menopause include:

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Sleep problems and insomnia
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Depression
  • Lack of concentration
  • Memory problems
Life after Menopause

Menopause is considered to be a full year without menstruation. During this time, hormonal imbalances can occur due to the fluctuating levels of progesterone and estrogen in your body, and this can cause a range of issues such as insomnia, depression and physical fatigue. It’s essential to care for your physical and mental health during and after menopause.
